Instrumental lessons at Cannon Lane are provided by Harrow Music Service. Our team of visiting instrumental staff provide fantastic small group tuition. Lessons are timetabled during the school day and rota round on a weekly basis. Timetables are issued in advance of each term, and will be posted on the site homepage in due course.
The annual cost for instrumental lessons during 2018/19 will be £225. This can either be made in one payment by 14th September 2018.
Payment is due by 14th September 2018.
Alternatively, for parents who wish to spread the cost of payment, the following payment schedule is available:
- 1st payment of £115 due by 14th September 2018
- 2nd payment of £110 due by 11th January 2019
Late payments may result in the suspension of lessons.
This payment entitles the children to a minimum of 33 lessons during the academic year, making an allowance for unforeseen absences. All payments are made payable to Cannon Lane Primary School, via the school office.
The school does not make a profit from instrumental tuition charges.
Children who study at Cannon Lane may have the opportunity to undertake a instrumental exam. The music service are responsible for submitting pupils, and exclusively follow the Trinity syllabus. Examinations take place at the Harrow Arts Centre. Instrumental colleagues submit pupils for these examinations at their discretion.
Whilst pupils are encouraged to attain grades in their chosen discipline, our focus is firmly centred on the children’s musical development. Enthusiasm, commitment, focus and progress provide the platform for success.
We recommend reading our Step-by-Step Guide before you try to book any lessons. This guide explains in detail how the system works and what you will have to do to reserve a place for your child in the lesson schedules for the academic year starting in September 2018.
